My529 Interface Setup Instructions:

Contact My529

• Have your firm's Master Administrator login to https://fa.my529.org/ and select 'Orion' as the data provider to complete the Release Form.
  
  
• The RIA then requests a data file be provided to Orion's SFTP site.
  
  
• Once complete, My529 notifies Orion's Data Reconciliation team (sme-data@orion.com).

 

Submit a Support Case to Orion

• Log into Orion Connect and open the Support app.
  • Click the   button within the Support app.
  • Select the Service Request tab.

Service Request Details:

• Support Service Team: Reconciliation (If you are working directly with the Onboarding team, select Onboarding as the Support Service Team instead)
• Advisor #: populate with your firm's Orion advisor number
• Subject: New My529 feed - [insert firm name]
• Description:
  • We have contacted My529 and completed the necessary documentation to request a new feed of our data to Orion. Please initiate an internal process to prepare this feed for our database.
    • POA (power of attorney) #: [insert POA # - 7 digits long starting with 1]
    • Do you intend to share this feed with any other database(s) within Orion? YES or NO (If yes, please explain)
    • Three Sample Accounts: [enter three account numbers expected in the feed]
• Click Submit

 

Interface Notes

• Requests not completed within 60 days are subject to cancellation. Custodial delays and other special circumstances may allow for more time as necessary.
• Name files are provided, but they do not include SSNs. Therefore, Auto-Householding is not available and the feed must be set to Auto-Exclude. Orion CANNOT create the accounts, and the advisor must create the account shell before Orion can finalize the feed and apply the data.
• Rep Mapping is not available.
• Approximate time to complete (start to finish): 7-10 business days once Orion receives all applicable information.
