What Are Representative Payout Percentages in Orion Connect? The Representative Payout Percentages function displays the payout percentages for a client's representatives. This is visualized by the Representative section in a Household view, showing the names of primary and secondary representatives, their divided payout percentages, and the history of current and past payouts. Billing Users take advantage of the function further by manually overriding percentage payouts for one-off scenarios related to different clients, needs, and lifts. Representative Payout Percentages [4:25] Enable Manage Users Privilege(s) Before turning on privileges and firm options, your firm must reach out to our SME Billing Team to request activation of the Representative Payout Percentages. Use the "Contact Us" dropdown menu at the top of Orion Connect, select "Billing," and choose the method you wish to use to communicate. Users must have specific privileges enabled for their user roles in the Manage Users app to access the functionality in this article. How Do I Find Representative Payout Percentages in Orion Connect? Representative Payout Percentages are accessed through a client's Household view via Portfolio Audit . Navigate to the Portfolio Audit app and select "Households" from the Portfolio menu.Find the client's Household you want to access and either: Right-click the Household and select "Edit Household ."ORDouble-click on the Household name. From the left menu, select "Representatives" from the Household options. Using the Representatives Section of a Client's Household View The Representatives view displays several areas of information, divided by Representatives, Change History, and Representative Payouts. Representatives - Displays the Representatives who handle this client's household.Change History - Displays a list of current and previous payouts by date ranges. New histories are added here with primary and secondary reps, notes, and their payout percentages.Representative Payouts - Displays Representatives who have had payout percentages overwritten on the Registration level. Representatives Representatives show detailed information about the reps (Primary and Secondary) that are currently attached to the Household. It provides basic information, including Names, Rep IDs, Titles, and who the rep info was Edited By and the Date it was edited. Check this section first to discover who is representing the client and (if applicable) what their default payout percentage is.Compare the information here with the Change History and Representative Payouts to discover possible discrepancies, validation errors, or one-offs.Billing Users have access to the Payment Percentage column, displaying the representative's default payout percentage. Change History Change History shows data on the history of representative payouts, grouped by date. Its main use is to view which representatives were part of the specific payout date, create histories, and add reps to those dates and their titles. Notes are available to better explain these edits for anyone who visits the Household. Select the "Add New" link at the upper right of the Change History area.The default Start Date and End Date are always "Start" and "Current." Double-click on "Start" or "Current" to change the dates.Search for and add the representative to the history.Select the Rep Title to describe the representative for the history. Select the Pencil icon next to the Rep Title to open a modal and create a Custom Rep Title or select a previously made one.Select the Plus Icon in the Notes column to open a modal where freeform plain text is added, up to 1000 characters. It's Best Practice to use these notes to detail reasons and explanations for the history.When the history has been made, use the "Validate" link to confirm that the histories have no discrepancies. If the history highlights green next to the Start Date, there are no discrepancies.If the history highlights red next to the Start Date, it has found a discrepancy that needs to be corrected. Use the Reset link to revert the Change History to its previously saved state.Select the Save button when all histories are ready to be confirmed. Billing Users have access to the Payout Percentage column in addition to all features detailed above. After adding a rep to the history, adjust the payout percentage to reflect the amount during that time.Ensure that each historical grouping's payout percentage equals 100% to avoid any discrepancies. Representative Payouts Representative Payouts brings visibility for current Registrations that may include percentage or representative overrides. It displays information for Registration IDs and Names, Representative Names and IDs, the Payout Percentages, and Created and Edited By and Dates. If there are changes to the current payout percentages and reps, the information in Representative Payouts drops off and disappears. To bring the information back, the Billing User must add it back to the Registration(s). Importing Representative Payout Percentage Change Histories Use the Custom Imports app to add or update Households and Representatives in the database. Information on using the Custom Imports app may be reviewed in How-To and Overview: Custom Imports. Depending on how you are bringing representatives in, consider one of the following options: Household Update - Use when updating Households with Primary Representative IDs.Rep Payout Percentages Update - Use to update current assignments with Primary Rep, Additional Reps, and Payout Percentages, Rep Titles.
