Pershing Interface Setup Instructions

Follow the instructions below for setting up a Pershing feed. 

Please Note: If you are adding new reps or accounts to an existing Pershing connection, there is no need to establish a new feed. 

 

Submit a Support Case to Orion

• Log into Orion Connect and open the Support app.
  • Click the  button within the Support app.
  • Select Service Request tab.

Service Request Details:
 

• Support Service Team: Reconciliation (If you are working directly with the Onboarding team, select Onboarding as the Support Service Team instead).
• Advisor #: populate with your firm's Orion advisor number
• Subject: New Pershing feed - [insert firm name]
• Description:
  • Please initiate an internal process to prepare this feed for our database and provide further instruction.
    • Firm's full legal name:
    • Firm's broker/dealer: If the broker-dealer is PAS, provide the RIA
    • Broker/dealer contact information:
      
      • [Name]
      • [Phone]
      • [Email]
    • Three sample account numbers: [enter three expected account numbers]
    • Do you intend to share this feed with any other database(s) in Orion? Yes or No (If yes, please explain)
    • A complete list of the Pershing office ranges (any unique combination of the first three characters of the account numbers):
    • New Accounts Process: Auto-add or Auto-Exclude (denote how you wish to handle new accounts in your database)

• Click Submit. 

• An FTP Initiation Package will be provided to your firm from Orion to fill in and submit to your broker/dealer. Once processed, your broker deal requests the data connection and approves the feed to Orion. When your broker dealer contacts Pershing, please ask that they include sme-data@orion.com. Upon your broker dealer's approval and request for the feed, Pershing contacts Orion. FTP package and further instructions provided by Orion once internal business process is kicked off.

 

 

Interface Notes

• Requests not completed within 60 days are subject to cancellation. Custodial delays and other special circumstances may allow for more time as necessary.
• Rep Mapping is available. 
• Name files are provided.
• Approximate time to complete: 21-28 business days
• Please Note: Data will not flow to Orion unless the B/D completes the online requirements per the FTP initiation package.
• Important Note: Pershing only delivers full position files once a week (Saturday mornings)
