Complete Authorization Letter

The broker-dealer or RIA firm must complete the Empower Authorization Form. To download the letter as a Word file, click the   from the preview page within the link.

 

 

Contact Empower

Attach the completed authorization form in an email using the below template.

Message: Please accept this email and the corresponding letter as authorization to begin sending data to Orion Advisor Technology from our firm's Empower Retirement Insurance & Annuity data. Please notify sme-data@orion.com when the request has been processed.

 

 

Submit a Support Case to Orion

• Support Service Team: Reconciliation (If you are working directly with the Onboarding team, select Onboarding as the Support Service Team instead)
• Advisor #: populate with your firm's Orion advisor number
• Subject: New Empower Retirement Plan-Level feed - [insert firm name]
• Description:
  
  • We have contacted Empower to request a new feed of our data to Orion. Please initiate an internal process to prepare this feed for our database.
    • Do you intend to share this feed with any other database(s) in Orion? YES or NO (If yes, please explain)
    • Three Sample Accounts: [enter three account numbers expected in the feed]
    • Rep Assignment: If there is a representative you would like automatically assigned to this feed, provide the Orion Rep ID (located in Firm Profile > Representatives) and the name.
    • New Accounts Process: Auto-Add or Auto-Exclude

Interface Notes

• Requests not completed within 60 days are subject to cancellation. Custodial delays and other special circumstances may allow for more time as necessary.
• Please Note: Data cannot be applied to your database until Orion receives the notification from Empower.
• IMPORTANT NOTE: Orion does not receive Transaction activity. Orion receives Positions only on a monthly basis.
• This feed does contain name files, so accounts can be created automatically through the feed.
• Rep Mapping and Auto-Householding are available.
• This download format is not eligible for sleeving.
• Approximate time to complete: 21-28 business days once Orion receives all applicable information
