Why Would I Need to Add Local Prices?

• Use local prices to maintain your manually managed products unique to your database. 

• Edit historical prices as needed before your database's local cutover date. 

• Add prices individually in the Products & Prices app or en masse using the Local Price custom import.

How do I Add Local Prices?

Manage Users Privileges

The following privileges must be enabled for your role within the Manage Users app  to add local prices to a product.
   
Access to local prices generally and to add them individually:

• Local Prices (Located under the Records tab > Products section)   

Access to the local price custom import:

• Custom Imports 2 (Located under the Apps tab > Tools section)
• Local Price (Located under the Actions tab > Custom Imports section)

Add a Single Local Price

Use Case: You created a custom product called Chocolate Cake (Ticker: CHOCO), and you must manually maintain the local price table for this product. Since you only have a handful of custom products to maintain, you periodically add prices to each product individually instead of utilizing the import. View the GIF below to see a new local price being added to CHOCO step-by-step. 


Navigate to the Local tab in the Products and Prices app .

• Under the Local Prices section in the left sidebar, search for and select the product to which you want to add a price by typing in either the name or ticker. 
• Click  
• Fill in the Price Date and Price under the Add Price section of the left sidebar.
• Click  

   
TIP: To edit a price you have already added, click on the cell in the Price column. 

 

Import Local Prices En Masse

Use the Local Price Import tool in the Custom Imports app  to quickly upload multiple prices for many products at once. 

The import is in the Custom Imports app, but you can also navigate to it in the Products & Prices app . 

To navigate to the Local Price import from the Products and Prices app:
 

• Navigate to the Local tab under "Prices" on the left sidebar.
• Click Actions in the upper right-hand corner and select Import Prices.
• Fill out the Import Name field and continue with the Proceed Without File or Download Template options. 

   


   
Please Note: You must have both the Custom Import 2 and Local Price custom import privileges enabled to access this import.

  

You will encounter an error message if you are missing one or more of the necessary privileges. The error message is dynamic, so it will tell you exactly which privilege(s) you are missing.
