Audit and resolve custodial sleeve balances to maintain accurate account records. Use the Sleeve Transfer Tool at a granular level! This tool operates at multiple levels, allowing users to choose the level of control that suits their needs. Track sleeve transfer history by viewing the detailed Sleeve History. What is the Sleeve Transfer Tool? The Sleeve Transfer Tool allows you to transfer shares from one sleeve to another. It is important to note that the Sleeve Transfer Tool is accessible in both TOM and Portfolio Audit . This tool is available to Advisor and Rep-Level users. Enable the privilege below for their user roles in the Manage Users app to access the functionalities in this article. Review Manage Users: Roles and Privileges for more information. Privilege NameDescriptionSleeve Transfer Portfolio (Apps > Portfolio)Enable this for users to gain access to the functionalities of the Sleeve Transfer Tool Sleeve Transfer Tool Map Tip: When different registrations are selected, all applicable models appear in the Model To dropdown in the Multi Editor and the Model To column in the grid! Bolded text indicates an asset containing that model exists. Non-bolded text indicates the model exists, but that an asset does not hold it within the account. Selecting a non-bolded model creates a new asset for that model. Back to Top Actions A) Filters.B) Revert unexecuted changes back to their initial values.C) Execute transfer. Right-click and select Sleeve Transfer A new browser tab opens with the Sleeve Transfer Tool Back to Top How To Execute Transfers Executing a Transfer within the Grid Within the Sleeve Transfer Tool, click the box to the left of the sleeve you wish to execute a transfer on Populate the Transfer Quantity, Model To, and the Journal Date fields Note: The Journal Date defaults to Today's Date Select Actions and click Execute Transfer When complete, a green banner appears: Transfer completed successfully! View Sleeve History Executing a Transfer using the Multi Editor A) Journal DateInput the date of the transfer (defaults to today's date) B) Use Last Transaction DateSelect this to utilize the last transaction date as the journal date C) Model ToSelect the Model the journals should transfer to. When multiple registrations are selected, chose one of the following options in the dropdown: Shared Models = Select models that are shared between the multiple registrations Available Models = All models that are available based on your selected records. When a model is selected from this list and applied, it is only added to the records that the model is available for. Any selected records that won’t be updated will display for you to review prior to updating. D) Transfer Quantity or Transfer PercentageInput the Transfer Quantity or Transfer Percentage of the shares to journalE) Round Transfer QuantitySelect this to round the transfer quantity or percentage up to a whole digitF) Use Non-Billed JournalsSelect 'YES' to not utilize cash flows on sleeve transfers Within the Sleeve Transfer Tool, click the box to the left of the sleeve you wish to execute a transfer on Within the Multi Editor Tool, populate the Journal Date, Model To, and either the Transfer Quantity or Transfer Percentage fields Click Apply Changes Select Actions and click Execute Transfer When complete, a green banner appears: Transfer completed successfully! View Sleeve History Back to Top Sleeve Transfer History Once a Sleeve Transfer executes correctly, view your sleeve history by clicking View Sleeve History in the green banner within the Sleeve Transfer Tool. The Sleeve History is also accessible in Portfolio Audit. Navigate to the Actions dropdown and select Sleeve Transfer History. Opening the Sleeve Transfer History reflects all transfers made and not transfers made for a specifically selected entity. Please Note: Sleeve Transfer History Details From within the Sleeve Transfer History, right-click on a line item and select Details A new window appears for you to view and track the transfer details for the chosen Batch ID Right-click on the entity to navigate to a specific level within Portfolio Audit Back to Top Mass Sleeve Transfers via Custom Import Mass sleeve transfers allow users to efficiently journal values between sleeves across multiple accounts by utilizing the Transaction Add template within the Custom Imports app . How to Execute Mass Transfers Download the Transaction Add Custom Import template and populate the appropriate fields as indicated below. Review How-To and Troubleshooting: Transaction Add Import for more information on filling out and troubleshooting the template. Field NameDescriptionAccount Number This pertains to the account number for both the account (s) you intend to move value in and out of. If you would rather leverage Account ID that option exists under the Account ID column. SymbolEnter the Ticker or CUSIP of the product to be moved.Transaction DateThis is the effective date of the transaction created.Transaction Type If you are moving value out, use “Internal Account Journal Out”.If you are moving value into an account, use “Internal Account Journal In”. AmountThis is the number of units to be moved x PriceUnitsNumber of Units/Shares to be movedPriceThe product's price is on the effective date specified on the Transaction Date column.Confirm NotesOptional. It is most common to enter “Sleeve Transfer” however, the user can enter the desired note. Tip: Ensure journal out and in entries net. Below is an example in which we seek to move $125,000 of Custodial Cash from the 01 sleeve to the 02 sleeve. Once you apply the import, verify the transfers in Portfolio Audit. Sleeve Balance Audits It is best practice to review these audits regularly to ensure your sleeve custodial accounts have a zero balance, and there are no negative assets in your sleeves. Access the Sleeve Transfer Tool directly from these audits and resolve sleeve balances by either right-clicking, selecting the Actions dropdown OR choosing the Links dropdown, and selecting Sleeve Transfer. Sleeve Custodial Accts with Balance The accounts returned on this audit are custodial sleeve accounts that contain one or more assets with a unit balance.
