Electra Interface Setup Instructions:

General Information

Electra and Orion have a direct relationship and setup process. Please work with Orion directly on all inquiries.

• Electra is a data aggregator specializing in building direct feeds with various custodians. They currently have relationships/connections with over 800 custodians and can establish new connections with any custodian willing to work with them.
  
  
• If you have a list of custodians, Orion can cross-reference this list of custodians with those already established with Orion. It is BEST PRACTICE to provide the complete list of custodians you would be willing to establish through Electra to begin the process, regardless of whether a connection is not already established between Electra and Orion. Depending on the custodian working with Electra, it may take up to eight weeks to set up a new feed.
  
  
• Fees associated with this feed:
  • $30 per account per year (separate from your existing per account fee and prorated into your quarterly invoice)
  • No fees are charged until accounts begin flowing to your Orion database.

Follow the steps below to initiate an Electra feed to your database. If you have any questions on this process, please work with Orion directly by either submitting a Support case or contacting our Service team via call or chat.

Submit a Support Case with Orion

• Log in to Orion Connect and open the Support app.
  • Click the  button within the Support app.
  • Select Service Request tab.

  Service Request Details:

• Support Service Team: Reconciliation (If you are working directly with the Onboarding team, select Onboarding as the Support Service Team instead.
• Advisor #: populate with your firm's Orion advisor number
• Subject: New Electra Feed(s) – [insert firm name]
• Description:
  • See the list of custodians we would like feeds established with Electra. Please initiate internal processes as necessary and supply the corresponding addendum to be signed.
    • [Insert each custodial feed you want to establish through Electra]

 

Orion Sends Addendum

The use of Electra requires a signed addendum to your existing service agreement. This is provided to your firm's authorized signer for signature via DocuSign.

Advisor Completes Supporting Documentation

NOTE: You do not have to do the following until instructed, but these are additional requirements to process your request:
 

• When your addendum is activated, you will be asked to complete the Electra Account Onboarding List and return this to Orion through a case message. Refer to the Electra Data Onboarding Handbook for assistance.

 

• Within the Electra Data Onboarding Handbook, you will also populate the Electra Data Custodian Authorization form on company letterhead and send it via e-mail to each custodian, being sure to cc Electra's accounts team (recacct@electrainfo.com).
  • NOTE: It is imperative that you cc recacct@electrainfo.com on all authorization forms sent to each custodian. Failure to do so may result in significant delays in the setup process.

Message Body:

"Please be advised that Orion will work with Electra's data service to help streamline our reconciliation process. Attached is a letter with our request and authorization to add the following account(s) to Electra's pre-existing data feed.
 

An Electra representative will contact you to follow up. Please note that you do not need to work directly with Electra on these requests. Orion has an internal team that will handle all communication and setup with Electra. If you have any questions, please work with Orion.

After you complete the steps above, Orion reviews the documentation and processes the feed(s).
